Connecting a Transportation Office, Shop and Large Outdoor Yard
Long-range wireless carried the dispatch network across the property—bringing the shop, warehouse, yard cameras and gate onto one managed environment.

The dispatch office had a solid network. The maintenance shop, warehouse and a large fenced yard did not—cameras were on consumer equipment, the gate ran on its own line, and the far end of the property had no connectivity at all. Every vendor blamed another.
- Site survey of the property, buildings and lines of sight
- Point-to-point wireless from the office mast to the far yard, with a secondary link to the shop
- Outdoor-rated switching and cameras on a segmented network
- Gate controller and fuel-island equipment brought onto the managed network
- Everything monitored and supported under one agreement
Six phases. No stopped science.
- 1Weeks 1–2
Survey
We walk the property with you—office, shop, warehouse, gate, fuel island and the far corners of the yard—measuring distances, lines of sight and where cameras and equipment need to live.
- Site & RF survey
- Camera and gate placement
- Network and dispatch dependencies
- 2Weeks 2–3
Design
A wireless backbone from the office mast to each building and yard zone, outdoor-rated switching and a segmented network so cameras, gates and vendors never touch dispatch systems.
- Point-to-point / multipoint design
- Segmentation and firewall policy
- Power, poles and enclosures
- 3Weeks 4–6
Install
Masts, radios and outdoor switches installed and tested zone by zone. Cameras mounted with real coverage checks, gate controller and fuel-island systems brought onto the network.
- Wireless links installed & tested
- Cameras and gate online
- Outdoor enclosures and power
- 4Week 7
Integrate
Dispatch, maintenance and ELD platforms connected across the whole property; drivers, shop and office on one secured Wi-Fi; recording and alerts verified.
- Cloud applications across all zones
- Driver and shop Wi-Fi
- Recording and alert verification
- 5Week 8
Protect
Layered protection proven end to end: perimeter, network, endpoints, isolated backups of dispatch and office systems, and a documented restore test.
- Managed detection & response
- Isolated backup + restore test
- Vendor access controls
- 6Ongoing
Operate
24/7 monitoring of links, cameras and systems under one agreement—with a local engineer on site when weather, a pole or a truck takes something down.
- 24/7 monitoring & support
- On-site response
- Quarterly coverage review
